The ancient city of Philippi was an outpost or colony of Rome. The church is a colony of heaven. In this series of sermons based on the apostle Paul’s letter to the young church in Philippi, we’ll explore what it means for us as Christians to live as citizens of heaven in the midst of the present world, just as the Philippians lived as citizens of Rome on the outskirts of the empire.
