Outreach and Evangelism
Vision
The vision of the Outreach & Evangelism team is that Jesus would build Two Cities Church into an outward facing community—a community in which the members of the church are excited about God’s mission to the world and are actively carrying it out, and a community through which the world is entering into the kingdom of God and joining the membership of the church.
Purpose
Our specific purpose as a ministry team is to see the addition to the membership of Two Cities Church both unbelievers who come to faith in Christ, and believers in Christ who share our vision and values.
Principles
Three principles guide the work of our team:
- Building relationships in a Christ-like way provides the proper context for outreach and evangelism.
- Proclaiming the gospel with integrity and sensitivity in prayerful dependence on the Holy Spirit is the primary work of outreach and evangelism.
- Engaging the whole church, and making use of the different gifts and abilities of all its members in a team effort, is essential to fruitfulness in outreach and evangelism.
